Easy Home Made Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

• 1cup butter or 1 cup margarine
• 1cup sugar
• 1large egg
• 1teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2teaspoons baking powder
• 2 3⁄4cups flour 

Directions:

1. 
   
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add egg and vanilla.
4. Mix all dry ingredients and add slowly to butter cream mixture until incorporated.
5. Roll out on lightly floured board to desired thickness.
6. Cutout 2-1/2" hearts and bake at 400 degrees for 7- 10 minutes.
7. Should be light in color with light browning on the edges.
